IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE ELDERS:
The elders have continued to monitor the fluid situation relating to the Covid-19 virus. Some have questioned the status of public assemblies and activities of the church for this week and beyond. After careful consideration, we have decided to meet for our normal Sunday morning worship beginning at 9:30 a.m., but will cancel our Sunday fellowship at 9 a.m., Sunday morning classes, and all Sunday afternoon and evening small groups meetings (including the auditorium small group). Further, we will cancel Wednesday evening activities for this week as well.
As for attending worship on Sunday morning, you are strongly encouraged to use your own discretion and judgment and consider not attending if you belong to the following groups:
Identified by the Centers for Disease Control with known health issues such as a weakened immune system, heart disease, lung impairment, kidney disease, or recent travel outside of the U.S. recently.
Members who are over 70 years old are more at risk for this virus and should stay at home for the time being.
Members who are caregivers for elderly or at-risk individuals.
If you are currently experiencing any symptoms of illness.
We also request, that for the time being, we should all refrain from handshaking, hugging, or touching others during this difficult period. Also, we are taking extra measures to ensure proper sanitation of communion trays and materials, and providing individual communion wafers.
We realize that we are moving in uncertain times, and completely understand if you feel safer to stay at home and worship with your family at this time.
We will continue to monitor this situation and follow guidelines and practices consistent with protecting the health and safety of our members. Please be alert for any updates on future meeting dates and times.
May God continue to bless you and your families,
