What We Believe

  • We believe in one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 3:16-17, Jn. 14:9-10)
  • We believe God is the Creator of all things and that man was created in His image (Gen. 1:1, 26-27. Acts 17:24-28)
  • We believe in Jesus as God’s only Son who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and was resurrected from the dead. We recognize Jesus as humanity’s only means of Salvation (Jn. 3:16, Matt. 1:18, Jn. 20:24-31, Jn. 14:6, Heb. 4:15)
  • We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every Christian (Jn. 16:5-15, 1 Cor. 6:19)
  • We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith. (Rom. 15:4, Heb. 4:12, 2 Tim. 3:16)
  • We believe that man, created by God, willfully sinned, and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, Rom. 3:23, 1 Jn. 1:7)
  • We believe that salvation, the forgiveness of sins, and entrance into new life, comes by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ (His death on the cross and resurrection to new life) (Matt. 26:28, Rom. 5:8-11, Eph. 2:8-9)
  • We believe the Bible teaches that these expressions of faith are necessary to receive God’s grace through Jesus as Savior: faith in Christ as God’s Son and Savior of the world, repentance of personal sin, to confess Jesus as Lord, Baptism (immersion in water) in the Name of Jesus Christ; as that none of these alone are sufficient. (Lk. 24:45-47, Acts 2:38, Rom. 6:1-7, 2 Pet. 3:9)
  • We believe God expects that a genuine conversion will result in a changed life in which every disciple will participate in the lifelong, ongoing process of spiritual transformation (Rom. 6:4, Eph. 4:17-24, 2 Cor. 3:18, 2 Pet. 1:3-4)
  • We believe that the Church is the body and bride of Christ, founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere (Matt. 16:13-18, Acts 2:14-47)
  • We believe it is God’s plan for Elders to pastor the local church and that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, His body (1 Tim. 3:1-7, 1 Pet. 5:1-4, Col. 1:13-18)
  • We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. (Rom. 8:10-11, Dan. 12:2, Jn. 6:47, Matt. 25:31-46)
